Rounding is a way to make a number simpler while keeping it close to its original value. When we round a number, we look at the digit to its right. If that digit is 5 or greater, we increase the rounding digit by 1. If it’s less than 5, we keep the rounding digit the same. For example, when rounding 4267 to the nearest ten, we look at the digit 7. Since 7 is greater than 5, we round up to 70. Rounding helps us estimate and makes calculations easier!
